Whether you’re transferring to Rochen from another host, or have sites to migrate between Rochen hosting plans, our experts can professionally transfer up to 10 sites, per hosting plan, free of charge. After the first ten sites, there is a small $5/£3 charge per site.
We can assist with transferring WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal sites. Other types of sites can be easily migrated as well, so if you’re using a different web application please contact us and we can advise if we can help with the transfer.
New Plan Purchase Migration Option
During the checkout process select the “Migrate Existing Website”. Once your new account is active, a technical support ticket will then be opened to coordinate the migration of your primary site. For any additional sites or custom transfer requests simply open a ticket once your new Rochen account is active.
Requesting a Migration Under an Existing Account
If you have a Rochen legacy plan or Managed Cloud Server, or Managed Virtual Server, simply open a ticket to request a website migration.
If you have one of Rochen’s Premium Web Hosting (PWH) plans, you can also simply open a ticket. PWH customers who are importing a Drupal, WordPress, or Joomla site can select the “Assisted [CMS] Migration” option when creating a sub-account within their plan.
How long does Migration Take?
Most migrations don’t take very long at all. Though they do need to be scheduled, and length of time will vary depending on the size of your site.
Rochen’s team will typically schedule your migration to occur within 24 hours. Our daily migrations shifts are 2:30 am to 10:30 am UTC. We can’t specify an exact time, as availability depends on our support queue volume. However, you’re welcome to specify any date that you prefer and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Will My Website go Offline?
After everything has been migrated to Rochen you will be able to test to ensure your site works as expected using a temporary access URL provided by our team before making the final DNS cutover of your live domain name.
Our team will provide you with detailed updates, as well as any steps that you need to take before switching your DNS. Following our expert instructions, you should not experience any downtime for your website(s).
