Beyond utilizing pure SSD storage and LiteSpeed Enterprise Web Server, one of the biggest benefits of the new service is that each domain is created as its own isolated tenant account. Compared to traditional shared hosting cross domain security and performance risks are greatly reduced.
Each domain setup has:
- Its own separate cPanel account login
- Its processes executed under its own Linux user
- Isolation of files and directories from your other domains using a virtualized file system
- Ability to set the PHP version (5.3 through 5.6) separately for each domain
- Run isolated Joomla, WordPress, Drupal or other applications under each domain
- Allocate additional systems resources (if required) using “resource pools” per domain
Resource Pools
Touching further on the last point, with a traditional shared hosting plan if a domain consumes too many systems resources (that’s CPU and RAM) the host will generally require an upgrade to a much more costly plan. With the architecture of Rochen’s new Premium Web Hosting platform, extra systems resources can be allocated to a specific domain using resource pool technology without having to change plans. Each domain is setup using a “shared pool” at no additional cost with the option to assign a “burst pool” if desired at anytime. This provides a great solution if you’ve got a slightly busier site but one that isn’t quite ready to make the jump to its own server.
The burst resource pool includes:
- 1 vCPU
- 2GB DDR4 RAM
- $9.95/month per domain
If you need even more resources or are looking for your own server, our highly scalable and high availability Managed Cloud Servers (MCS) platform starts at 2 vCPUs and 4GB DDR4 RAM. A single MCS can scale all the way up to 32 vCPUs and 156GB DDR4 RAM. Rochen provides a range of solutions to handle any workload and can even assist with migrating between them.
Centralized Management
Although each domain setup with Premium Web Hosting is isolated with its own separate cPanel login, Rochen makes the user experiance as streamlined as possible. While you can still login to each cPanel individually you can also access cPanel for any domain with a single click through the My Rochen portal, without having to remember individual usernames or passwords. Furthermore, you can easily manage other functions for all of your domains like moving from the included shared resource pool to the burst pool with a single click.
