If you wish to adjust the MX record on your domain, the following steps will prove helpful as in most cases they do not require you to open a support ticket:<\/p>\n

Login to cPanel for the domain in question. In the Mail section, you will find an option ‘MX Entry’. Add your MX record as a FQDN ie mail.myotherdomain.com or myotherdomain.com<\/p>\n

You can also add multiple MX records, or adjust the value of these.
\nIn most cases you will also want to set ‘Email Routing’ to ‘Automatically Detect Configuration’ to disable local delivery of mail.<\/p>\n

You can alternately edit your MX records directly as a reseller from WHM<\/a> under “Edit DNS Zone”. If you do this instead of using cPanel, don’t forget to include the trailing period (“.”) after each value to indicate that the value is a FQDN (ex: “mail.myotherdomain.com.”).<\/p>\n

If you need to add CNAME records, you can do so as a reseller from WHM, or if not a reseller, simply open a ticket.<\/p>\n

When you do things this way, your domain will automatically be removed from the servers list of ‘localdomains’ which means you will require no intervention from our staff.<\/p>\n
