If using POP3, your email client will normally check for new messages once every 5 minutes. That setting should not be increased<\/strong>, especially if you have multiple email clients checking that same account.<\/p>\n \t\t\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t
\r\n \t\t\t\t\tOn a shared hosting or Reseller Plan the maximum permitted checking frequency per account, per IP, is 60 times per hour. Frequencies greater than that may trigger a firewall block for your IP. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n
Important:\u00a0You must enable the option that says: ‘my outgoing server requires authentication’ (or similar) in your email client SMTP settings, and use the same username\/password as above. You will need to enable SSL (port 465) or TLS encryption (ports 25, 587 or 1025) as well. If you do not have an SSL certificate installed for mail.yourdomain.com using mail SNI via Let’s Encrypt (only available on Premium Web Hosting plans) then you will also need to change the SMTP server address to match your server’s hostname, or manually accept the server’s SSL certificate in your email client.<\/p>\n
If you are having trouble sending email your ISP may be blocking port 25. If that is the case, try using port 1025 for SMTP instead of 25 to get around that block.
