This is because our spam filter uses the root of your domain to route messages by default.<\/p>\n<p>There are a couple of solutions to address this.<\/p>\n<p>If you expose your &#8216;mail&#8217; subdomain at CloudFlare, you can set it to point directly to your Rochen server to be used instead. This allows more straightforward configuration of email clients. The drawback is that it does allow visitors to identify the origin IP address for your account.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You can also use your server&#8217;s hostname for email routing.<\/p>\n<p>Instructions for fixing your email routing using either method are below.<\/p>\n<h3>Email routing with a custom &#8216;mail&#8217; subdomain:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Find your account&#8217;s IP address on the MyRochen <strong>Manage Hosting<\/strong> page.\u00a0 The IP will be used for your &#8216;mail&#8217; subdomain record.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Log in to CloudFlare and navigate to your <strong>DNS management<\/strong> page. Check for an existing &#8216;mail&#8217; DNS record.<\/li>\n<li>If one exists already, make sure it is an &#8216;A&#8217; type, <strong>not<\/strong> CNAME, record mapping your account&#8217;s IP address. If it is not already listed, add it.<\/li>\n<li>The cloud icon <strong>proxy toggle<\/strong> should be disabled so the mail subdomain resolves directly to your Rochen server. You can use the cPanel URL link from your MyRochen <strong>Manage Hosting<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Professional Spam Filter<\/strong> page and choose your domain.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Destinations<\/strong> tab, then click the <strong>Search<\/strong> icon to see your configured current destinations.<\/li>\n<li>Click the drop-down next to your existing destination, then choose <strong>Edit<\/strong>. That isn&#8217;t necessarily a problem but it will limit the additional privacy from CloudFlare.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can a different, potentially randomized, subdomain be used instead of &#8216;mail&#8217; for added security?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Absolutely!
