You can also migrate websites yourself. This article outlines how you can do a remote import with Softaculous via cPanel.<\/p>\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--alert  hts-messages--withtitle  \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Important Notes<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This import process is only applicable for sites built with certain scripts available through Softaculous. These include popular CMS&#8217;s, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\">WordPress<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/joomla.org\">Joomla<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/drupal.org\">Drupal<\/a>, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Softaculous is available in cPanel with our shared hosting plans. It is not available by default on Managed Cloud Servers (MCS). However, our team can install it at no charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n<h3>Finding Softaculous<\/h3>\n<p>Log in to cPanel and go to the <strong>Softaculous<\/strong> section. Do not include HTTP:\/\/ or HTTPS:\/\/ or www., etc. The domain should be, e.g., yourdomain.com\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Server Host:<\/strong> You can specify the server host if your domain name is not the same as your server host. An example is ftp.mydomain.com. You can usually leave this field blank because the server host will be the same as the domain name. If you aren&#8217;t sure, please open a ticket to ask.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Protocol:<\/strong> Choose your preferred protocol. We will use FTP for this example, but we recommend exploring more secure options such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochen.com\/docs\/index.php\/documentation\/ssh-access-for-shared-hosting-plans\/\">SSH<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Port:<\/strong> The port used during the connection to the domain on the other server. The default port for FTP is port 21, and for SSH it&#8217;s 22.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Username:<\/strong> The username you use to connect to your server. Because your Rochen account uses cPanel, enter your cPanel username.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Password:<\/strong> This is the password for the user you provided above to connect to your server. You can find your password via your My Rochen customer account.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Path:<\/strong> The relative path to your domain on the other server. Here are some examples:\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>When you log in with your FTP details, if you see public_html or htdocs or www directory, your FTP Path will be \/public_html or \/htdocs or \/www.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>When you log in with your FTP details, if you directly land in the webroot of your domain, then your FTP Path will be <strong>\/<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If you use an addon domain or subdomain, then provide the path.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Installation Directory:<\/strong> The directory name indicates where the imported installation will be on its current server. <strong>Keep this blank if the installation is in \/public_html<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Destination Details<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Choose Protocol<\/strong>: Select the protocol (supported by your server) where the installation will be imported.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Choose Domain<\/strong>: The domain name of the installation that will be imported. Example: <strong>destinationdomain.com<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>In Directory (optional)<\/strong>: The name of the directory where the installation will be imported. Example: <strong>dev. <\/strong>Keep this field blank if you want your installation to be imported to your root \/public_html directory.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Advanced Import with Softaculous Options<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Database Name<\/strong>: The name of the database that you want the source installation to be imported to. By default, Softaculous will choose a random name.
