Transferring a Domain Name to Your Rochen Account

You can now register domain names when signing up for a Solo, Growth, Pro, or 2020 Reseller Plan,  or when purchasing a Managed Cloud Server. Domain name registration and transfers are also an option with our older Premium Web Hosting plans. Please note that “Ordering a Domain Transfer” below applies only to PWH Multiple Sites Plans and Reseller Plans. It is not applicable to PWH One Site Plans as those plans only allow for hosting one domain. One Site plan owners have the option of choosing a domain transfer when they purchase their plan, and can skip to “Completing Domain Transfer Steps”.

Ordering a Domain Transfer

To transfer a domain registration to Rochen within your existing Premium Web Hosting Plan Multi Site, please follow these steps, 1) Click on Shared Hosting from the main menu options, then click on the domain for your Premium Web Hosting plan 2) At the top right, under your domain name, click on “Create Account” 3) Enter your domain name, and then choose the “Transfer a domain you own to Rochen” option. 4) Fill out the rest of the new account details, then click on ‘create account’ at the bottom.

We can register .com, .org, .net, .info, .biz, .shop, .site, .blog, .dev. me. .co, .uk, .co.uk, and .org.uk domains. More options will be added in future.

.org.uk $12.95 £10.95 €12.95
Please note that prices do not include VAT, and are subject to change, at Rochen’s discretion, based on relevant industry cost fluctuations. We also provide the option to add Domain WHOIS protection, to protect your privacy. You can opt for WHOIS protection during registration. Since GDPR regulations in May 2018, your contact information is now kept secure behind a limited gateway. This means that it’s no longer publicly visible on whois directory look up sites. However, it’s still accessible to certain third parties who may need access to it for specific purposes such as SSL certificates, etc. To ensure that nobody, including third parties, can access your contact information through your domain, you’d need the WHOIS protection.

Completing Domain Transfer Steps

Non .uk Domains:

Here are the next steps to complete the transfer process for .com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info domains 1) Click on Manage Domains in the My Rochen menu 2) The domain that you just entered should be in a “pending” state. Click on the “Manage” button to the right 3) In order to have your domain transferred as quickly as possible. please be sure to pay careful attention to the notes that are provided for you in this next section:

a) If enabled, disable the registrar lock at your current registrar.

b) Please contact your current registrar to have the EPP code sent to you, and  then enter it in the available space (still in the Manage Domains section) to initiate the transfer process.

c) The transfer request will be sent via our domains partner, to your current registrar and it will be up to them to release the domain.

.co.uk and .org.uk Domains

Here are the steps for completig the transfer of a .uk domain: 1) Click on Manage Domains in the My Rochen menu 2) The domain that you just entered should be in a “pending” state. Click on the “Manage” button to the right 3) In order to have your domain transferred as quickly as possible. please be sure to pay careful attention to the notes that are provided for you in this next section: a) Make sure that your domain is fully unlocked at your current registrar b) Ask your current registrar to update your domain’s IPS tag to ENOM c) The transfer request will be sent via our domains partner to your current registrar, and it will be up to them to release the domain. Once the steps above have been completed, you do not need to do anything further. Every domain transfer has a waiting period that depends on the current registrar and, unfortunately, cannot be rushed. Please note that domain transfers can take up to 7 days to process fully, though we usually see transfers completed within 1-4 days. If your domain is still shown as “pending” after 5 days, please open a support ticket so we can investigate for you.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Please note that if you have recently updated your contact information at your current registrar, there may be a 60 day wait period before you can transfer it out.
  • Domains that are recently registered, cannot be transferred to another register until 60 days have passed.
    • If you are not able to transfer the domain, due to either of the above issues, just open a billing support ticket once the 60 days have passed and we can add a transfer request manually for you. In the meantime you can still update the nameservers at your current registrar in order to point the domain to your Rochen hosting plan.

When the domain transfer is complete, the status of the domain in your Manage Domain Names section will have changed from Red to Green. You can click the “Manage” button to update your nameservers and have the domain point to your Premium Web Hosting plan. Thank you.
