As has been widely reported in mainstream media coverage the past couple of days, two serious security vulnerabilities have been disclosed affecting CPUs manufactured by Intel Corp, Advanced Micro Devices Inc and ARM Holdings. Rochen uses CPUs from both Intel and AMD across our global data centers in the US and UK, but not from ARM.
The two CPU vulnerabilities in question are named “Meltdown” (CVE-2017-5754) and “Spectre” (CVE-2017-5753 and CVE-2017-5715). More information, including a full Q&A, can be found on this website established by Graz University of Technology, who helped with discovery of the vulnerabilities.
Rochen would like to assure users that we have already taken proactive steps to protect our customers against both the “Meltdown” and “Spectre” CPU vulnerabilities. This includes patching at the virtualization layer of our platform, Kernel patching and where appropriate hardware firmware updates.
Our technical support team is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week via the My Rochen customer portal to answer any questions you may have.
